Joint Ventures Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our Rehabilitation Center in Newport News, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, developing detailed treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Utilize a blend of treatment modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate patients and their support networks—families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals—on the best practices for implementing assistive devices and maintaining home exercise regimens.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatment sessions, patient responses, and progression towards therapeutic goals to ensure compliance and facilitate continuity of care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy through participation in workshops, professional organizations, and peer networking.
• Engage in mentorship programs, providing guidance and support to new graduates and less experienced colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our facility, you will primarily work with patients recovering from musculoskeletal issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing various age groups, and requires a therapist who can adopt a versatile approach to treatment, ensuring each patient receives personalized care that addresses their unique challenges and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred), from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia, in good standing.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during treatment sessions.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or advanced orthopedic techniques will be viewed favorably. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and maintain accurate health records is also a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our employees benefit from:
