Position Overview

Core & Agility Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Newport News, Virginia. This full-time position requires the successful candidate to provide high-quality patient care in our onsite rehabilitation center. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and crafting individualized treatment plans that align with patients' needs and goals.
• Instructing and supervising patients in the safe and effective use of therapeutic exercises and functional mobility techniques.
• Implementing modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and other interventions to promote healing and enhance recovery.
• Assisting patients in the proper use of adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures.
• Providing education and guidance to patients and family members regarding in-home exercises and treatment options.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and address any concerns related to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, including pediatric and adult patients with a wide range of conditions, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain syndromes. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and patient management.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of professional experience is required, we encourage all applicants who meet the qualifications to apply. Compensation and Benefits
