Work Environment

This position is an onsite role within our well-equipped rehabilitation facility situated in Long Beach, CA. The atmosphere is collaborative, with a team-centric approach; you will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our work schedule runs from Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining a consistent patient care routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific needs and establish achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient caseload by providing scheduled sessions that average one patient per hour, ensuring focused and individualized care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities to develop personalized care plans addressing each patient's unique challenges and aspirations.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions designed to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall physical function.
• Educate patients on alternative approaches to surgery and medication, emphasizing preventative care and wellness.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans comprehensively within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey to enhance their engagement and achievement of health goals.
• Collaborate efficiently with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure seamless patient care.
• Monitor and assess treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to optimize patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient demographics primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgical procedures. Your role will involve working with diverse cases ranging from sports injuries to post-operative rehabilitation, employing your skills to promote healing and restore functional mobility. The focus is on creating a comfortable and encouraging environment for patients as they navigate their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Hold a valid California Physical Therapist license with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Exceptional knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of exercise prescription and program development.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Proficiency in using EMR software, specifically WebPT.
• Experience in tailoring fitness and wellness programs to meet diverse patient needs, demonstrating creativity and adaptability.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
