At Badger Meter, your contributions will ripple far beyond the workplace - creating lasting change for people and the planet.What You Will Contribute:Badger Meter is seeking a strategic and highly visible Director, Investor Relations to lead the company’s engagement with the investment community and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.This role is responsible for shaping and delivering a compelling narrative about the company’s strategy, performance, and long-term value creation. As a key partner to the CEO, CFO, and executive team, you will lead investor relations strategy, oversee ESG communications, and help position Badger Meter with analysts, investors, and other stakeholders.This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on how the company is understood, valued, and positioned in the market.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestor Relations LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with long-term business goalsServe as the primary interface with analysts, institutional investors, and the broader investment communityShape and communicate the company’s financial and strategic storyExternal Communications & Market PositioningLead development of earnings materials, investor presentations, and executive messagingPrepare executives for earnings calls, investor meetings, and conferences (including scripts and Q&A)Drive clear, consistent messaging across press releases, disclosures, and external platformsExecutive & Board PartnershipCollaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and communication of business prioritiesPrepare materials for the Board of Directors and support quarterly updates on strategic progressPartner with the General Counsel on proxy statements, shareholder communications, and annual meeting activitiesInvestor Engagement & EventsLead planning and execution of investor conferences, roadshows, and other engagement opportunitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the investment communityESG Strategy & ReportingOwn enterprise ESG strategy, messaging, and external reportingPartner cross-functionally to track key ESG metrics and progress against sustainability goalsEnsure alignment with evolving investor expectations and regulatory landscapeMarket Intelligence & Strategic InsightMonitor industry trends, competitor positioning, and investor sentimentProvide insights and recommendations to executive leadership on potential risks and opportunitiesCorporate Governance & Financial ProcessesSupport shareholder-related activities, including dividends, stock programs, and investor recordsEnsure compliance with disclosure requirements and governance best practicesQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field10+ years of progressive experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or a related disciplineProven experience interacting with institutional investors and sell-side analystsStrong business acumen with the ability to translate financial results into a clear, compelling narrativeExceptional written and verbal communication skillsPreferredPublic company investor relations experienceExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven environmentFamiliarity with ESG frameworks and reporting standardsLeadership CapabilitiesStrategic thinker: Ability to connect long-term strategy to market-facing messagingExecutive presence: Credible, confident communicator at the senior leadership levelInfluence & collaboration: Skilled at working across functions and aligning stakeholdersAnalytical mindset: Uses data and insights to inform decisions and messagingResults-driven: Focused on execution, clarity, and measurable outcomesCompetitive Total Rewards at Badger Meter:Competitive PayAnnual Bonus Eligible for Annual Pay Increases Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage 15 days Paid Time Off + 11 Paid Holidays Two Ways to Save for Retirement: Badger Meter contributes 25 cents for every dollar you contribute to the plan, up to 7% of your eligible compensation.
