Business Development Manager - Southeast Asia (Medical Devices / Healthcare)

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Healthcare, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of business development or sales experience within the medical device, healthcare, life sciences, or related industries.
• Proven experience developing business across one or more Southeast Asian markets (such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, or the Philippines).
• Demonstrated success in distributor management, key account development, and complex commercial negotiations.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional Southeast Asian language(s) are an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and identify growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable, and willing to travel frequently across Southeast Asia.

Nice-to-Haves

• Existing network within Southeast Asia’s medical distribution channels or healthcare industry.
• Experience launching new products or expanding into emerging markets.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
• Understanding of medical device registration and regulatory processes in Southeast Asian countries is a plus. 1. Market Expansion
• Develop and execute a data-driven business growth strategy for Southeast Asia, aligned with company objectives and local market dynamics.
• Identify and prioritize target countries and market opportunities across the region.
• Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through industry networks, exhibitions, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach.
• Build and maintain long-term partnerships with distributors, hospitals, clinics, and key healthcare stakeholders.
• Manage key accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and sustainable business growth.

3. Business Development & Project Management

• Lead commercial negotiations, contract execution, and project implementation while coordinating closely with internal teams including marketing, logistics, regulatory, and customer support.
• Support distributor onboarding, product launches, and pilot projects to ensure successful market penetration.

4. Market Intelligence

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and regulatory developments across Southeast Asia.
• Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product strategy and business planning.
• Provide regular market reports and recommendations to headquarters.
