Work Environment

The work setting for this role is our onsite Rehabilitation Center, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and dynamic atmosphere. Our facility is designed to optimize patient engagement and has state-of-the-art equipment to aid recovery. You will be working a 40-hour shift, Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's needs, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience for all patients.
• Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based care approaches.
• Provide therapeutic services to patients in various environments, including treatment areas within our rehabilitation center and home health settings.
• Consult, educate, and train patients as well as their caregivers on recovery processes and home exercise programs.
• Utilize patient feedback to continuously improve service delivery and meet established performance goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your diverse caseload will include patients with orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, pediatric developmental delays, and neurologic disorders. You will play a vital role in addressing their unique rehabilitation needs, fostering functional independence, and promoting overall wellness.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarization with electronic health records.
• A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with patients and the community.

Preferred Experience

Although experience in a clinical setting is preferred, newly graduated therapists with a passion for orthopedic rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to connect positively with patients enhances the overall therapeutic experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes:
