Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job

Overview Registered Nurse, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) — Rochester, NY. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,092 - $2,161 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights with rotating D/E/N schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call. Work setting: Level IV NICU caring for sick or premature newborns with advanced treatments, in collaboration with a specialized care team. Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ill or premature neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vitals, feeds, and growth
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage respiratory support as appropriate
• Monitor telemetry and hemodynamics, recognize early signs of deterioration, and respond according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate with the neonatal care team (neanotologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, lactation consultants) to implement individualized care plans
• Perform NICU procedures as needed and uphold strict infection control and patient safety; document care in the electronic health record (Epic experience highly desired)

Requirements

• NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience
• NRP 8th edition certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic experience highly desired
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call
