Key Responsibilities

• Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients through empathetic communication and active listening.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based practices and intervention strategies.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to refer clients to specialists or additional support services when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will consist of diverse clients, including individuals struggling with mental health disorders and families seeking guidance in navigating relationship challenges. Being in Sacramento, you will serve a rich multicultural population with varying backgrounds, enabling you to apply culturally competent practices in your therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• A valid and active LMFT license is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is essential, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related area.
• Demonstrated experience in therapeutic settings, focusing on family and marriage therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling, reflecting a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding substance use disorders.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders to provide comprehensive care.
• Experience working with various therapy modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

Heritage Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
