Business Development Manager - Houston

Job Purpose Drive Sales of Magswitch automation products through Major Account relationships and solutions-based sales strategies. Location Houston, TX Successful Qualities Outgoing, aggressive, experienced relationship manager Has existing relationships in the local markets Willingness to travel Ability to grow sales, not simply take orders Develop a clearly defined sales plan and strategy Positive, proactive, and “can-do” attitude Major Duties & Responsibilities Drive sales of Magswitch Automation products through forming high level relationships. Identify, contact, and build rapport with major new customer targets by leveraging existing networks and referrals. Responsible for growing sales in the geographic territory. Identify multiple opportunities and solutions when visiting Customer’s facilities, generating repeat business. Strong knowledge and use of Salesforce Einstein to track and evaluate sales and to generate management sales reports. Embrace and leverage the use of AI to facilitate the sales process and generate sales leads. Inform Operations of inventory requirements based on active sales opportunities and probabilities. Analyze sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective. Conduct in-depth research on competitors’ products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests. Analyze industry trends to identify solution gaps and improve product lines. Travel up to 60% (predominantly within 3‑hour drive). Skills & Qualifications Ability to quickly absorb and understand technical information relating to industrial automation and magnetic technology. Ability and confidence in selling solutions and value to the customer. Proven account management experience. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM and ERP software; Salesforce and Netsuite preferred. Embraces the use of AI on a daily basis to increase knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism. Exceptional presentation and oratory skill. Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
