Hours/Week: 36-40
Employment Type: Travel RN
Licensure: Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for state licensure
Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, hospital setting
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
Pay package discussed upon application

What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and med/surg patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, and support patients with telemetry needs
- Assist with post-operative urology patients, including complex procedures like prostatectomies, nephrectomies, and cystectomies
- Support patients with other medical/surgical conditions such as sepsis, DVT, CHF, COPD, COVID, and pneumonia
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, RTs, PTs, and OTs
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Float to units as needed and assist with patient care beyond primary specialty
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure transfer
- Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant hospital RN experience in acute care
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam and handle cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Skills in wound management, IV therapy, hemodialysis catheter care, pain management, and telemetry support
Preferred:
- Experience with Urology post-op patients and complex surgical cases
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and holidays as schedule demands
