What You'll Do

• Provide specialized care for medical, surgical, and telemetry patients, including those with CHF, post-cath lab recovery, pacemakers, dialysis, and COPD
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry, and manage non-titrating cardiac medications such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, and Heparin
• Maintain patient safety and comfort with supervision from charge nurses and support staff
• Assist in patient assessments, administer medications, and handle IV and central line procedures
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalist, OT, PT, and ST professionals
• Ensure compliance with hospital and department policies

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license
• 2+ years of medical telemetry experience in an acute care setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to work
• Skills in telemetry interpretation, IV care, post-surgical recovery, and central line management

Preferred:

• Experience with post-surgical recovery, PIV skills, TR bands
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythm interpretation and non-titrating cardiac gtts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
