Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience: 1+ years in acute care; First-time travelers must have 2+ years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care
Hourly Rate: $48.24

What You'll Do
- Provide expert nursing care on the telemetry/transplant unit, managing patients with complex conditions such as CHF, COPD, DKA, and post-transplant
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKGs, and respond to emergency situations
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and IV therapies, ensuring safe titration and patient safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, therapists, and support staff
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR system (Meditech Expanse)
- Assist with phlebotomy, wound care, and other supportive procedures
- Support floating within scope of practice across units as needed
What You Need
Required:- Valid Louisiana RN license
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- 1+ year of recent RN experience in acute care
- Ability to interpret cardiac strips and pass an EKG competency exam
- Basic IV skills and ability to manage cardiac drips without titration
- Experience with transplant, med-surg, or telemetry units
- Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
About the Assignment Join a dynamic, patient-focused telemetry/Transplant unit at a well-established hospital in Bossier City, LA. The unit handles diverse cases including recent transplant patients, cardiac emergencies, and common medical-surgical diagnoses. The team supports your growth with structured orientation, on-site resources, and interdisciplinary collaboration. You'll work four-day weeks with weekend rotations and holiday shifts, in a setting dedicated to quality patient care and staff development.
