We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team at Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center located in Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Newark facility, where we foster a collaborative and patient-centered work environment. You will be working alongside a dedicated team comprising two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our practice primarily caters to patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to provide tailored and personalized care that meets the needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' unique needs and establish treatment goals tailored to their specific rehabilitation journey.
• Manage a caseload of up to one patient per hour, ensuring efficient and comprehensive treatment delivery while maintaining the highest standard of care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to facilitate movement, reduce pain, and improve patients' functional capabilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously to adjust treatment plans based on individual outcomes and feedback.
• Provide education and motivation to patients throughout their therapy process to encourage adherence to treatment protocols and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and provide coordinated care.
• Minimize the need for medications and surgical interventions through effective therapeutic practices.
• Utilize EMR software (like WebPT) for patient documentation and record management, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and those seeking improvement in mobility and function. Many of our clients are active adults and athletes who are motivated to return to their pre-injury level of activity. With this diverse patient population, you will need to adapt treatment regimens based on individual goals, needs, and challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board sanctions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise.
• Capable of developing and overseeing personalized exercise regimens aimed at maximizing patient recovery.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
• Expertise in applying a range of treatment methodologies, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and education on injury prevention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and collaborate with colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
