Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Valley Health, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough and empathetic individual mental health counseling sessions through secure video conferencing tools.

• Employing evidence-based treatment modalities to address the diverse needs of clients.

• Creating tailored treatment plans that incorporate each client's unique goals and experiences.

• Utilizing therapeutic techniques to facilitate client insights into their emotions, experiences, and relationships.

• Regularly monitoring and evaluating client progress to adjust treatment plans and bolster healthy coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with stable, low acuity adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. The client population may include individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and stress management. Your role as a counselor is integral to helping these clients develop the skills necessary for improving their quality of life and achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current, unrestricted license in Texas as a Mental Health Counselor (LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW). Note: provisional licenses are not accepted.

• No history of disciplinary actions related to licensure.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and empathetic communication skills, with a genuine passion for helping others.

• Proficiency in technology and virtual counseling tools.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, the following experiences could enhance your candidacy:

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valley Health offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $104,000, depending on your experience and hours worked. Additional benefits for full-time counselors include:
