As a licensed mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in addressing the pressing mental health challenges faced by adolescents and young adults, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your daily activities will include providing one-on-one counseling sessions as well as facilitating group therapy for clients, focusing on mental health and substance use issues. You will assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and document client progress in accordance with best practices. Participation in regular case discussions with fellow clinicians will be expected, promoting a collaborative approach to client care. Additionally, you will provide psychoeducation and support for family members to aid in the recovery process.

The primary demographic you will serve includes adolescents and young adults, a population that often experiences heightened vulnerability during transitional life stages. By limiting group sizes to a maximum of eight clients, we ensure that you can develop meaningful relationships and engage deeply with each client, tailoring interventions for sustainable healing. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is mandatory.

• Possession of an appropriate California license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) is essential; junior-licensed professionals may be considered with appropriate supervision.

• Availability ranges from 12 to 40 hours per week, depending on whether you choose a contract or W2 employment model.
