Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional and psychological needs, documenting findings from the initial consultation through the success of treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, promoting an environment of trust and openness that encourages client participation and growth.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate care and integrate strategies for clients requiring comprehensive support.

• Provide ongoing support and resources to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools and strategies to help manage mental health challenges.

• Stay abreast of the latest practices and methodologies in psychotherapy and maintain accurate electronic health records using systems such as AVATAR.

• Identify and address any obstacles to recovery, including underlying physical health conditions or behaviors that may impede progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your work will include a diverse client population experiencing various mental health issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions such as PTSD and substance use disorders. You will be equipped to adapt your therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring an inclusive and supportive practice.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a virtual setting.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and maintain a compassionate demeanour.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing mental health counseling through telehealth systems.

• Familiarity with addiction treatment and an understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by healthcare professionals.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, to document client progress and treatment details.

• Knowledge of best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
