Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for clients to gather relevant personal, medical, and social histories, aiding in accurate diagnoses.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based techniques, setting measurable and attainable recovery goals for clients.

• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing diverse approaches tailored to client needs.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, to ensure a cohesive treatment approach.

• Provide ongoing support and follow-up for clients transitioning from hospital settings back into outpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health challenges and provide strategies to manage symptoms effectively.

• Utilize AVATAR or similar electronic health record systems for efficient documentation and tracking of client cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a member of our counseling team, you will work with a broad range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and emotional distress. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through their unique journeys, utilizing therapeutic techniques that resonate with their specific situations. Our diverse patient population requires an adaptable approach, enabling you to cater to the diverse cultural and personal contexts of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as either an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW to practice in the state of California.

• A passing score on the NCE or NCMHCE.

• Proven experience in a mental health counseling role, with a track record of successful client outcomes.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, or similar platforms is a plus.

• Comprehensive understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions, especially regarding addiction treatment.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, coupled with a compassionate approach to client interactions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with potential sign-on bonuses for qualified candidates.
