Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments through preliminary interviews to document case histories from initial engagement to completion of treatment, establishing a solid foundation for care.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health utilizing validated assessment tools to inform treatment plans.

• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans, ensuring they are personal, achievable, and aligned with their unique circumstances.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to cultivate a safe space for exploration and healing.

• Monitortechnique client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans in response to changing needs and obstacles to recovery.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to develop and implement integrated care plans.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, actively engaging clients and families in discussions about preventative strategies for relapses.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds and face an array of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship challenges. As a counselor, you will play an integral role in creating personalized approaches that resonate with each individual, helping to bridge gaps between therapy and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated previous experience in a counseling capacity, showcasing extensive knowledge of therapeutic modalities.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, ideally with a working familiarity of AVATAR.

• Understanding of psychological principles as they relate to various physical and emotional health conditions, including substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices is highly valued.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside exceptional interpersonal abilities and empathy.
