Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments on new clients to evaluate their mental health status and substance use patterns, identifying co-occurring disorders through standardized diagnostic tools and personal interviews.

• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that interventions address both mental health and substance abuse needs, using evidence-based practices like Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients cultivate skills in coping, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention strategies tailored to their unique situations.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure seamless care coordination and enhance treatment efficacy.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques during substance use monitoring sessions to foster positive behavioral changes and support clients in their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families about the connections between mental health and substance use disorders, reinforcing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate documentation of each client's treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Regularly participate in case conferences, staff supervisions, and continued education opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
