Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health evaluations and thorough intake interviews, documenting client history and treatment progress accurately.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Healing Escape, you will serve a varied clientele, ranging from individuals dealing with acute mental health crises to those navigating longer-term emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise will help clients address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and addiction disorders. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of relevant examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for efficient documentation and client tracking.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting with a demonstrated ability to apply clinical skills effectively.

• Familiarity with the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of the impact of pharmacological interventions on mental health and experience working with clients who may also have physical health conditions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear and empathetic interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
