• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to determine clients' substance abuse histories and mental health needs, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues, incorporating evidence-based methodologies.

• Facilitate one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and other effective therapeutic techniques.

• Collaborate with fellow team members, including psychiatrists and case managers, to construct an integrated care plan that supports each client’s unique recovery path.

• Provide education and support to clients’ families, equipping them with resources and information necessary for involvement in the recovery process.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Our client population consists of individuals seeking recovery from substance dependence, encompassing a wide range of substances including alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. Many clients may also face co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD. The therapist will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and promoting coping strategies, working with clients from diverse backgrounds and various stages of their recovery journey.

• A valid clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD) is essential for this position.

• A Bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement; however, a Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant field is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in addiction counseling through specialized training or experience in the field.

• Knowledge of best practices for treating both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, with a focus on evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Exceptional counseling and therapeutic skills, with a strong ability to engage, motivate, and support clients.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective teamwork and client interaction.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working within a substance abuse treatment setting, demonstrating proficiency in therapy modalities specifically targeting addiction recovery. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record systems and outcome tracking tools will enhance the ability to provide comprehensive care and documentation. Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions and family therapy would be advantageous as well.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
