Job Description

The HR Generalist plays a central role in both recruitment and core HR operations, managing full-cycle talent acquisition while serving as a trusted partner to HR leadership and employees. This position independently owns key HR processes, ensures compliance with employment laws, and supports a positive, high-touch employee and candidate experience across the entire employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles, from intake meetings through offer and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, role requirements, and recruiting strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Create, update, and maintain job descriptions that accurately reflect duties, competencies, and compliance requirements, ensuring documentation remains current and legally sound.
• Collaborate with management to clarify role expectations and ensure job documentation aligns with organizational needs and legal standards.
• Post and manage job openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support selection decisions.
• Develop and maintain job-related screening and interview questions aligned with role requirements to support effective and compliant candidate evaluation.
• Conduct structured, compliant interviews using recruiting and selection tools, and provide consultation and training to hiring managers to ensure consistent, lawful interviewing and selection practices.
• Create a positive, high-touch candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Develop talent pipelines for frequently filled and hard-to-fill positions.
• Prepare, draft, and extend offer letters to selected candidates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards and applicable employment laws.
• Maintain and update offer letter templates and related documentation to ensure they remain current, standardized, and legally compliant.
• Ensure background checks are initiated, monitored, and completed in accordance with company policy, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Track recruiting metrics and provide updates on time-to-hire, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes.
• Support workforce planning and ongoing talent initiatives through data insights and recruiting activities.
• Serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate support to employees and leaders.
• Provide day-to-day support to HR leadership, acting as a trusted partner and assisting with priorities, projects, and decision-making.
• Support the management and resolution of employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, and performance improvement processes.
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, documentation, and coaching conversations.
• Assist with the administration of FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain accurate employee records using ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Vantage, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes to promote a smooth and consistent employee experience.
• Conduct and analyze exit interviews, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations to improve retention and engagement.
• Analyze HR metrics such as employee turnover rates and use insights to support decision-making and workforce planning.
• Assist with benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR transactions using ADP systems and established HR processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices across all HR activities and documentation.
• Prepare and analyze HR reports, leveraging data to inform HR strategy and operational decisions.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of EEO laws and ensure HR practices, documentation, and job descriptions remain compliant.
• Support audits, policy updates, and compliance initiatives, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
• Support HR leadership with HR initiatives and projects as needed, contributing to continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1+ year of dedicated HR Generalist experience with hands-on responsibility for core HR processes.
• At least three (3) years of combined, hands-on experience with substantial responsibility in both talent acquisition and HR generalist functions, including independent ownership of key HR activities.
• Full-cycle recruiting experience including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.
• Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Vantage for HR, payroll, and employee data management.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, including employee relations, performance management, leave administration (FMLA/ADA), and compliance requirements.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position working Monday through Friday on an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. On approximately 3–4 occasions per month, the HR Generalist may need to stay past 6:00 p.m. to support interviews, meetings, or time-sensitive HR activities. The role operates within a small, collaborative HR team that includes HR leadership and HR generalist colleagues, creating opportunities for partnership, shared learning, and professional growth. Work is performed in a professional office environment using ADP Workforce Now and/or ADP Vantage as core HR systems, along with standard office productivity tools. The setting emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance, while fostering a supportive culture focused on delivering a high-quality experience for both employees and candidates.

This is a Contract position based out of West Miami, FL.

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Miami,FL.
