Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based methods, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities such as heat and cold treatment.
• Utilize a variety of interventions, such as stretching and strengthening exercises, to relieve pain and optimize mobility.
• Track patient progress meticulously through documentation and assessments, adjusting treatment plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations.
• Recommend and fit patients with assistive devices and educate them on their proper use to enhance self-care and mobility.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in patient and family education, providing resources and support to enable them to actively participate in the recovery process.
• Stay updated on advancements in the field by attending workshops, participating in professional development activities, and maintaining engagement with professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State Physical Therapy License to practice in New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits
