Litigation Associate

Stark & Stark has a full-time opening for a Personal Injury Litigation Associate in our Hamilton, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal research and writing skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and be self-directed and detail oriented. Candidates must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities The candidate will support personal injury cases with the oversight of other attorneys in the practice. Responsibilities will include handling client intakes, depositions, drafting and responding to pleadings, evaluating the merits of a personal injury claim, ascertaining experts, providing guidance and counsel to the clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling, litigating cases and trial of cases. 1-3 years of experience Personal injury experience is a plus New Jersey judicial clerkship is a plus Fluency in a second language is a plus The candidate should excel in the following areas: Legal analysis Drafting of pleadings, discovery and motions Negotiation Written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Client relations Commitment to team culture The candidate should possess strong, analytical, interpersonal, negotiation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and to interact directly with clients.
