Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique needs and to formulate personalized, effective treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques tailored to individual, couples, and family dynamics.
• Facilitate psychoeducational programs and support groups aiming to equip patients with tools to manage their mental health concerns and foster community connections.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic, multi-dimensional approach to patient care.
• Offer crisis intervention support, effectively responding to mental health emergencies with empathy and professionalism.
• Engage patients in discussions about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to support their journey toward recovery.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing acute mental health crises and those coping with chronic mental health conditions. Your approaches will cater to patients from different backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in performing comprehensive mental health assessments and developing actionable treatment plans.
• Previous experience providing both individual and group therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
