Position Overview

A Good Place Therapy & Consulting is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) to join our team in Lowell, Massachusetts. This full-time position allows you to work remotely while providing invaluable mental health services to our diverse patient population. We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, as well as a sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates.

Work Environment

In this remote role, you will have the flexibility to work from home while maintaining connectivity with a team of passionate professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the unique mood disorder symptoms experienced by clients, including severity, frequency, and potential impacts on their daily lives.
• Work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their mental health goals and individual preferences while considering their background and personal circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions specific to mood disorders, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methods, and effective self-care strategies to foster greater understanding and engagement in their recovery process.
• Track and monitor clients' progress regularly, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to coordinate a holistic treatment approach that effectively addresses all aspects of patient mental health.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to apply new techniques and knowledge in your practice.
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions, sessions, and treatment plans to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative atmosphere where best practices and clinical skills are shared and developed.
• Act as an advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders, working to reduce stigma associated with mental illness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with A Good Place Therapy & Consulting, you will primarily support clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Your expertise and therapeutic touch will make a significant impact on the lives of individuals from varying backgrounds and circumstances, helping them navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, specifically for mood disorder treatments like CBT and DBT.
• Strong insight into psychopharmacology and experience in working collaboratively with psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients.

Preferred Experience

Experience with diverse patient populations is highly valued, particularly those who have varying socioeconomic backgrounds or have experienced trauma. Familiarity with electronic health record systems or teletherapy platforms will be considered an asset as well.
