Job Description Senior Accountant Location: Houston, TX Position: Permanent Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday & Wednesday in office; additional days as needed) Compensation: up to $120,000 Overview A leading financial services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team in Houston. This role supports full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, and audit activities across U.S. and international entities. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Support expense allocations, variance analysis, and intercompany reconciliations across multiple legal entities. Prepare financial statement support, tax schedules, and technical accounting memoranda. Assist with international accounting activities and treasury operations, including cash forecasting and investments. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and internal control compliance. Participate in system implementations and process improvement initiatives. Mentor and support junior accounting staff. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required. 3–5 years of public accounting (Audit/Assurance) or corporate accounting experience within financial services. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close. Advanced Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Workday experience is a plus. Experience with multiple legal entities or international operations preferred.
