Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, documenting the intensity, frequency, and duration to inform treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans, integrating their goals and preferences with proven therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Continuously monitor client progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

• Play an active role in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing education to improve therapeutic practices and client care.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmatization and ensuring their voices are heard in the treatment planning processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on clients dealing with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will work with varied populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, helping to address their unique mental health challenges through empathetic and targeted therapy.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .
