Key Responsibilities\n

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing and maintaining professional ethics and boundaries while fostering positive rapport and working relationships.

• Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess progress, stability, and discuss future appointments, ensuring a proactive approach to therapy and timely discharges when appropriate.

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that are person-centered, aligning with the therapeutic goals of each client.

• Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation and progress notes for each client to support continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Conduct intake assessments for new clients, gathering essential information to inform treatment strategies.

• Provide individual counseling sessions weekly, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each youth's unique circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on youth and adolescents, including individuals dealing with various mental health challenges and potential substance abuse issues. The counselor will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, advocating for their needs and providing empathetic support throughout their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in mental health or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• Proven ability to meet criteria for internal credentialing within clinical settings.

• Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations is necessary.

• Strong background in assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of both individual and group therapy services.

• Demonstrated proficiency in using technology, including basic keyboarding skills for documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
