Associate Director - Payer Strategy Enablement, U.S. Market Access

AbbVie

Associate Director role supporting AbbVie's U.S. Market Access Payer Strategy organization. Drives strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional coordination across therapeutic areas while enabling payer strategy leaders to focus on customer engagement and market dynamics.

Responsibilities

Support annual strategic planning, business reviews, and priority-setting across payer strategy teams
Lead development and management of reporting tools, dashboards, and planning resources for organizational consistency
Coordinate forward-looking visibility to key contracting, pricing, and access-related milestones across functions
Support implementation of capability-building and process improvement initiatives across market access
Coordinate leadership meetings, business reviews, and develop training programs to enhance organizational effectiveness

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years market access, payer strategy, commercial operations, or related commercial experience
Demonstrated track record leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business planning tools
Strong project management, organizational effectiveness, and business operations experience
Proven ability to influence across matrixed organizations without direct authority
