Compensation Analyst

HotFoot Recruiters is hiring a Compensation Analyst (Rewards) to support a leading financial services organization. This role focuses on compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, and data-driven decision-making to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven HR or compensation professional with strong Excel skills who can manage multiple priorities, analyze compensation data, and support enterprise-wide compensation initiatives.

Position: Compensation Analyst
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time | Contract (through 12/31/2026)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM CST
Pay: Up to $27/hr
Start Date: ASAP (target 4/27/2026)

Responsibilities

• Perform job evaluations and market pricing analysis to support compensation decisions.
• Provide recommendations on pay actions including promotions, adjustments, and incentives based on market data and internal equity.
• Conduct and support salary surveys, benchmarking, and compensation studies.
• Analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support pay structure development, equity analysis, and compensation planning initiatives.
• Perform report reconciliation and payroll-related analysis, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Manage service tickets and support compensation-related inquiries, including issue resolution and de-escalation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent compensation practices.
• Support ongoing HCM system migration and process improvements.
• Handle sensitive compensation data with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or financial/data analysis role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, lookups, data analysis required).
• Experience with salary surveys, market data, job evaluations, and compensation analysis.
• Ability to interpret data and provide insightful, data-driven recommendations.
• Experience working with payroll data, reconciliation, or compensation reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently and supporting cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience with HCM systems or compensation tools preferred.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to explain compensation concepts clearly.
