This role is responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions, collaborating across product and engineering teams, and helping evolve our platforms through strong technical leadership and sound engineering practices.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems, building reliable systems, mentoring teammates, and driving continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle using modern tech-forward delivery practices.Primary Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using.NET and C#Partner with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, resilient technical solutionsBuild reusable services and components that support multiple products and business capabilitiesTake ownership of software solutions throughout the development lifecycle, including production support and continuous improvementContribute to architecture decisions, technical designs, and engineering standards across the teamLead code reviews and promote best practices related to quality, performance, security, and maintainabilityUse enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline software development workflows, automate tasks, write tests, and drive continuous delivery improvementsTroubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term technical remediationEvaluate emerging technologies, tools, and engineering practices to inform solution design and strategic innovationMentor engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and hands-on collaboration within an Agile delivery frameworkWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment.
