Help Desk Specialist 2

Help Desk Specialist 2 provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

Performance shall include :

• Software installation and support of commercial software and related upgrades
  
• Update solutions database with applicable resolutions
  
• Problem solving, hardware/software installation and configuration based on computing standards, and client support for all network and desktop.
  
• Monitors and enforces all IT policies and procedures.
  
• Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and multiple level security LDAP profiles.
  
• Installs and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware.
  
• Maintains, upgrades and repairs PCs/laptops and Window desktop applications for all systems.
  

Education and Experience

Required:

• Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science and 2+ years experience in Information Technology or related field -OR- 6 years experience Information Technology or related field
  

Desired:

• SAP Experience
  

Training and Certifications :

• IAT Level II
  

Security Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
