Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Special Education certification required
• Experience working as an Autism Specialist or Special Education Teacher preferred
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with emotional impairments
• Passion for working with K-2 children, with an understanding of early childhood development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create individualized educational plans and adapt curriculum materials

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-2 students in an emotional impairments classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child’s unique needs
• Utilize evidence-based interventions for students with autism and emotional disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, therapists, and families
• Foster a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and social growth
• Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods and supports as needed to maximize student success
