Axcelis has been recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Small/Mid-Sized Companies for four consecutive years.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Wireless, VPN, Data Center).Configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and OT network devices.Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.Oversee network hardware/software upgrades and lifecycle management.Identify and mitigate network security risks and vulnerabilities.Administer firewalls (Fortinet preferred), NAC, SIEM, and VPN solutions.Monitor network traffic and logs for anomalies and threats.Collaborate closely with other IT teams (Systems, Applications, DevOps) to ensure secure integration of new technologies and services.Mentor junior administrators and serve as a subject matter expert.Lead strategic planning and technical discussions for network initiatives.Participate in an on-call rotation.Some travel might be needed with mergers and acquisitions.QualificationsRequired:-7+ years of progressive experience in network administration.-Expertise in enterprise network design, implementation, and management.-Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, 802.1X, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and other network protocols.-Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC.-Proficiency in diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred:-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.-Relevant industry certifications (Aruba/HPE, CCNA/CCNP, CISSP, CompTIA)-Experience with cloud networking and security in Azure/AWS.-Experience with Fortinet firewalls, Aruba/HPE Airwave, Aruba/HPE ClearPass, and SIEM.Success in This Role Will Be Measured ByPromoting adaptability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Demonstrating curiosity, resourcefulness, and initiative.Driving sustainable processes and organizational change.Communicating effectively across teams and levels.Building trusted relationships and fostering a culture of excellence.Applying strong business and technical acumen with attention to detail.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENTIt is the policy of Axcelis to provide equal opportunity in all areas of employment for all persons free from discrimination based on race, sex, religion, age, color, national origin, disability status, medical condition (including pregnancy), veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
