Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia. Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness operates out of a contemporary 5000 square foot outpatient facility designed for sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. Our practice is dedicated to serving patients with private medical insurance, and we pride ourselves on being a PT-owned facility that prioritizes exceptional patient care. With a supportive team consisting of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, our goal is to create an environment where both patients and staff thrive.

Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and colleagues in a collaborative environment. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured and predictable work schedule. Given our focus on deliverable outcomes, our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitative tools and technologies tailored to enhance patient recovery and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to identify and address patient goals and rehabilitation needs, creating personalized treatment plans that encompass their specific objectives.
• Administer care based on an evidence-based approach, which entails employing manual therapy techniques and creating exercise protocols that cater to individual patient requirements.
• Manage a case load where you typically engage with one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated attention to each client.
• Monitor progress through constant evaluations and adjust treatment programs as necessary to improve mobility and reduce pain effectively.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly for accurate records and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate and consult with other healthcare professionals to formulate comprehensive care plans that transcend physical therapy and support overall patient wellness.
• Encourage lifestyle changes and provide education to patients, empowering them to embrace strategies that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily cares for patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with individuals from various backgrounds, helping them overcome physical challenges through tailored rehabilitation strategies. Our team strives to foster an encouraging environment where patients feel supported in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against the license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and capable of executing comprehensive exercise protocols.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly WebPT, is highly regarded.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, ideally with a focus on sports medicine.
• Demonstrable expertise in developing innovative treatment methodologies that address diverse patient needs.
• A proven record of patient outcomes that highlight improved mobility and functionality.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
