Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and the specific severity and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Work closely with clients to co-create individualized treatment plans that reflect their personal goals, needs, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, including treatment options and self-care strategies to support recovery.

• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment approaches as needed based on regular feedback and assessments.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring clients receive cohesive treatment strategies.

• Remain current with the latest research and advances in mental health treatment to enhance clinical practices within the organization.

• Commit to maintaining comprehensive and compliant documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety and depressive disorders. A significant portion of our clientele comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds who may face unique cultural and socioeconomic challenges affecting their mental health. You’ll play a crucial role in providing compassionate support and effective therapeutic interventions that empower these clients to navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and a skilled ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive client outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 3 years of direct clinical experience working with adults facing mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
