Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders and determining the most effective approach for individualized care.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that utilize evidence-based therapies tailored to suit their unique challenges.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that focus on skills development, such as coping strategies and emotional regulation, as well as prevention techniques to reduce the likelihood of relapse.

• Participate in coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, ensuring comprehensive treatment delivery.

• Perform regular substance use monitoring and employ motivational interviewing methods to empower clients throughout their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong proficiency in evidence-based practices for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the factors contributing to the challenges faced by individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate successfully in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
