Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and interviews to gather clinical information, meticulously documenting all interactions from the first consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using standardized measures and observational techniques to inform treatment decisions.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to their specific needs and goals.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote client engagement and foster a safe, supportive environment.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and effectiveness of interventions.

• Work in close partnership with other healthcare providers, sharing insights and strategies to enhance patient care and treatment continuity.

• Follow up with clients after hospital admissions, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care with comprehensive discharge planning.

• Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to recovery, working with clients and their families to develop appropriate coping strategies.

• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers on managing mental health challenges to foster a supportive network for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adult clients facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. Your role will also involve supporting families and caregivers, promoting a holistic approach to mental wellness. Understanding the complexities related to underlying physical health conditions will be essential in providing comprehensive care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, including familiarity with AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addressing various physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction and trauma resilience.

• Knowledge of best practices as endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Expertise regarding the pharmacological treatments prescribed by physicians and their potential impacts on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
