Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, establishing an ongoing rapport with clients by documenting relevant case details from start to finish.

• Assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health using evidence-based tools to inform decision-making in treatment plans.

• Develop and implement personalized intervention strategies for various populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing specific mental health concerns.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through their therapeutic journey while monitoring and adapting interventions based on their progress.

• Collaborate closely with other health care professionals to develop holistic treatment approaches, including regular communication with psychiatrists and primary care providers.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, working proactively with clients and their support systems to resolve issues that may impact treatment success.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing them with resources and strategies to effectively manage associated mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse client base, ranging from children to adults. Our patients often exhibit a variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with strong clinical skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.

• Experience addressing complex cases involving dual diagnosis, integrating mental health treatment with physical health and addiction issues.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, enhancing therapeutic effectiveness.

• Comprehensive understanding of the effects and interactions of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and compassionately.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by a generous sign-on bonus.
