Key Qualifications:

• Active Substitute Certificate from DESE (or in process; must be active before starting)
• Previous experience in school settings, especially supporting special education or behavioral programs
• Comfortable working with students with behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), including providing toileting assistance as needed
• Ability to adapt to both 1:1 and classroom aide assignments
• Must complete required fingerprinting for North Kansas City

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a reliable resource, filling in for contractor call outs across 33 schools (predominantly elementary settings)
• Support students in special education classrooms, assisting with academics and implementing behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with school staff to provide a positive, structured learning environment
• Follow provided plans and procedures to address unique student needs and ensure their well-being
