Frontend Engineer

Role Description

As a Frontend Engineer at Sphere Labs, you will:

• Design Language: Work with our existing Frontend team to build a series of reusable components and design features. Help establish the framework for launching financial products, including internal operations dashboards, customer-facing applications, public webpages, guides, and documentation.
• Global Audience: Design and develop for multiple audiences, creating different interfaces for each region we serve. Learn what appeals to these unique audiences and how they prefer to interact with our business.
• Data Driven Design: Analyze user behavior and engagement metrics to develop optimized flows. Work with and develop our analytics engine to build intuitive flows and measure user engagement as new products and features are rolled out.
• Collaboration: Work with peers in the Product and Engineering teams to take key features live and define customer interactions with our financial solutions.
• Development: Write high-quality code emphasizing reusability, reliability, and ease of use. Ensure extensive testing to avoid accessibility issues in production.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documents including flow diagrams, development/testing documentation, and implementation guides. Collaborate with other teams to build external documentation and user guides for clients.
• User Testing: Work directly with product owners, end users, and clients to gather feedback on solutions before they go live. Use feedback from stakeholders to deliver industry-leading solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus; alternatively, an extensive history of independent code development.
• Proven experience as a frontend engineer, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Experience working with multiple teams distilling requirements and testing with stakeholders before taking features live.
• Experience within payments, crypto, fintech, and BaaS are a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in common web technologies and either a proficiency with or a willingness to learn: TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, React, Figma.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
