Business Development Lead – Royalty, Milestone & Asset Financing A confidential, innovative life sciences investment platform is seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to originate, structure, and execute high-value royalty, milestone, and asset financing transactions across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and clinical-stage innovation. This is a senior, execution-focused business development role responsible for building a strong transaction pipeline from origination through closing. The successful candidate will have a proven history of sourcing and executing strategic transactions within the life sciences ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Originate and develop new royalty, milestone, and asset financing opportunities. Identify and cultivate relationships with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare companies seeking non-dilutive capital solutions. Evaluate therapeutic assets, technologies, and commercial opportunities alongside scientific, legal, and financial stakeholders. Structure innovative financing transactions, including: Royalty financing Milestone financing Synthetic royalty structures Other non-dilutive financing solutions Lead transaction execution from initial opportunity through diligence, negotiation, and closing. Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with internal teams and external advisors. Engage with capital providers and financing partners to support successful transaction execution. Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of strategic financing opportunities. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of originating and executing complex transactions within the life sciences sector. Experience may include: Business Development within biotechnology or pharmaceuticals Corporate Development Life Sciences Investment Banking Royalty or Milestone Finance Structured Credit or Specialty Healthcare Finance Strategic Partnerships Licensing and Commercial Transactions Asset Acquisitions Healthcare-focused Private Equity or Venture Capital Candidates from large pharmaceutical organizations with experience in licensing, co-development, royalty monetization, asset acquisitions, or structured financing are also encouraged to apply. Preferred Experience Significant experience in life sciences business development, corporate development, investment banking, or healthcare finance. Strong understanding of royalty, milestone, and other non-dilutive financing structures. Proven success sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex commercial transactions. Ability to evaluate scientific, clinical, and commercial opportunities. Established network across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and investment communities.
