Manager, Financial Clearance Center

OverviewThe Manager of the Financial Clearance Center (HB/PB) is responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring timely, accurate execution of centralized financial clearance activities, including benefits/eligibility verification, authorization and pre-certification, medical necessity validation, patient liability estimation, and financial counseling and care coverage prior to time of service. This role manages team workflows, monitors productivity and quality, resolves operational issues, supports standard work, and ensures staff follow established processes, service standards, escalation pathways, and compliance expectations across the enterprise. The Manager partners with Scheduling & Pre-Service, On-Site Registration, Utilization Management, Clinical Operations, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, Technology/Analytics, and strategic business partners to support consistent pre-service outcomes, reduce avoidable denials and day-of-service disruption, and improve the patient financial experience.
