#IND123 Job ID 23558 - Billing Assistant Location: Tampa, 33602 - This position is onsite Pay: $22-$25 Type: Contract to hire Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM Job description: A well-established Florida law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Assistant to support its Billing Managers with daily billing and administrative responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working with detailed financial information in a professional office environment. Previous billing experience is preferred, and experience working within a law firm or legal environment would be especially helpful. Responsibilities Assist Billing Managers with daily billing activities and administrative tasks Prepare, review, and process client invoices Enter and update billing information accurately within the firm’s systems Review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting Make billing corrections and adjustments as directed Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation Respond to internal billing questions and research discrepancies Assist with tracking outstanding items and following up on missing information Work with attorneys, legal staff, and other departments to ensure invoices are completed accurately and on time Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed Requirements: Administrative support background or similar that would demonstrate the skills necessary for this role. They want to train someone without billing/legal experience .
