Work Environment

The work environment in our outpatient office is dynamic and fast-paced, designed to support a variety of patient needs. Our facility features modern rehabilitation equipment and private treatment rooms, allowing for individualized care in a welcoming atmosphere. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic services as planned and directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring each treatment is tailored to individual patient needs.
• Effectively develop and implement treatment plans after obtaining necessary approvals from referring physicians, adhering to best practices in patient care.
• Conduct thorough chart reviews to assess the Physical Therapist's evaluations, facilitating clear and effective patient treatment strategies.
• Utilize a diverse range of therapeutic interventions and modalities, demonstrating safety and proficiency in their application.
• Support the Physical Therapist's effectiveness by actively participating in patient assessments and identifying any issues impacting progress.
• Accurately document treatment and progress in the electronic health record (EHR), following established protocols for recordkeeping.
• Transition patients towards discharge by instructing families or nursing staff on continuation of care and the maintenance program.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, families, and team members to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be engaged primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our clients range in age and activity level, from athletes seeking to regain peak performance, to older adults recovering from joint replacements. You will leverage both manual techniques and exercise-based therapies to address their specific rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a current and active PTA license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while delivering high-quality patient care.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience, including expertise in exercise protocols, manual therapy techniques, and sports rehabilitation.
• Experience in instructing patients and families regarding home exercise programs and post-discharge care.
• Previous use of electronic health record systems to manage documentation and patient data.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
