Key Responsibilities (Front Office & Insurance)

• Insurance & Eligibility Verification: Expertly verify patient insurance coverages, benefits, deductibles, copays, and co-insurance in real-time using major payer portals and EMR tools.
• Front-Desk Collections: Confidently and politely explain patient financial responsibilities, collecting copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of check-in.
• Patient Intake & Registration: Welcome patients with warmth, accurately enter demographics and medical insurance details into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Patient Flow & Communication: Answer phone calls, manage appointment scheduling, address patient inquiries, and liaise with back-office clinical staff to maintain fast, efficient patient flow.
• Compliance & Records: Ensure complete compliance with HIPAA regulations, manage patient charts, and handle daily payment balancing and end-of-day batch reconciliations.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Patient Access Representative, or Front Desk Registrar in an urgent care, outpatient clinic, or hospital setting.
• Insurance Proficiency: Strong, practical mastery of insurance verification processes, copay structure calculations, and common commercial/government payer guidelines,
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, insurance clearinghouses, and standard office software (Microsoft Office/Google Workspace).
• Communication & Professionalism: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with exceptional conflict-resolution capabilities when discussing balances with patients.
• Reliability & Multitasking: Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced medical clinic setting.
