Details Work in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool at a children's hospital Float within scope to all pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week Required to work every other weekend and rotate holidays Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required Current BLS and PALS certification through American Heart Association (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required ECMO and CRRT experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Experience with ventilated patients, acute airway care, and central/PICC line management required Skilled in ABG interpretation, ICP monitoring, and dysrhythmia management required Experience with IV vasopressors, anti-seizure medications, and continuous sedation required Pediatric dosage calculation skills required Social Security card and driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients across multiple ICU units First-time travelers considered if they meet the required experience Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized Previous MUSC permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning as a traveler Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval based on unit needs All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams American Traveler Job ID P-746108.
