Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Ophthalmology Location Stony Brook, New York / Commack, New York / Southampton, New York Open Date Jul 13, 2026 Deadline Oct 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Department of Ophthalmology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook is recruiting for a full-time Academic Oculoplastic Ophthalmologist (Assistant Professor) to start immediately. Responsibilities of the position consistent with the mission of our department include inpatient and outpatient clinical care, education of residents and medical students, and research or scholarly activity. Qualifications Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified/Eligible in Ophthalmology. Successfully completed a fellowship in Oculoplastics. Preferred Qualifications: NY State license. Experience in clinical, translational, or basic research. Teaching experience. Additional years of Oculoplastic experience. Special Notes Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation.
