This role serves as a key liaison between engineering teams, laboratory personnel, facilities resources, contractors, and external vendors to ensure testing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project priorities.The Lab Coordinator supports laboratory readiness, scheduling, equipment maintenance tracking, contractor coordination, shipping and receiving activities, documentation management, and overall operational support of testing programs. This position works closely with engineering and laboratory teams to help ensure facility resources, equipment, materials, and support services are available to enable successful execution of laboratory testing activities.This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.Job ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Operations & Facility CoordinationCoordinate daily laboratory operations and support readiness of test areas, support systems, and laboratory infrastructureAssist with facility maintenance activities and repairs to minimize disruption to testing operationsMaintain laboratory organization, housekeeping standards, and storage areasSupport laboratory improvement projects, equipment installations, and facility upgradesServe as a point of contact for facility-related issues and operational support requestsLaboratory Scheduling & Resource CoordinationMaintain and update the laboratory master scheduleCoordinate testing priorities with engineering, product development, service, and program teamsAssist with balancing laboratory capacity, equipment availability, and project timelinesCommunicate scheduling updates, resource constraints, and potential conflicts to stakeholdersSupport test setup coordination and resource allocation activitiesProject & Event CoordinationCoordinate laboratory activities related to customer visits, demonstrations, audits, and validation testing programsAssist in tracking project milestones and laboratory support activitiesHelp ensure stakeholders are informed regarding test schedules, equipment readiness, and facility requirementsTrack action items and support completion of operational tasks tied to laboratory objectivesContractor & Vendor CoordinationCoordinate contractor activities related to maintenance, calibration, facility improvements, and equipment installationsAssist with obtaining quotations, scheduling work, and tracking project progressEnsure contractor activities comply with facility safety requirements and operational proceduresInterface with equipment suppliers, calibration providers, and service partners as neededEquipment Maintenance & Calibration SupportMaintain equipment maintenance schedules and calibration recordsCoordinate preventive maintenance activities and service visitsTrack equipment availability, downtime, and service statusWork with engineering and laboratory personnel to support equipment repair and upgrade effortsAssist with laboratory asset tracking and inventory managementShipping, Receiving & Material CoordinationCoordinate shipment and receipt of test samples, components, and laboratory equipmentSupport incoming and outgoing freight activitiesMaintain documentation, tracking records, and storage of laboratory materialsAssist with logistics coordination for customer and supplier-provided equipmentDocumentation & Process SupportMaintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, forms, and recordsSupport document control and audit-readiness activitiesAssist in tracking laboratory metrics including utilization, align with company, regulatory, and quality requirementsQualificationsRequiredAssociate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, technical operations, facilities coordination, project coordination, or a related fieldExperience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, testing, or technical environmentStrong organizational, scheduling, and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business systemsAbility to work independently and proactively solve problemsPreferredExperience supporting laboratory or technical facility operationsExperience coordinating contractors, vendors, or maintenance activitiesFamiliarity with equipment maintenance and calibration programsExperience in HVAC, thermal testing, product development, manufacturing, or engineering environmentsKnowledge of quality systems, documentation
